About a quarter of the day is devoted to the concepts you need to understand what you are doing and why. The remaining time focuses on demonstrations, guided exercises, supervised practice, observation, discussion, and putting techniques together in context.
You will not simply hear descriptions of traditional methods. You will see how selected techniques are prepared and performed, participate in appropriate exercises, and learn how different parts of the healing process connect from assessment to practice and aftercare.

The practical portion is built around demonstration first, then participation where appropriate. Students can observe the sequence, preparation, intention, body positioning, materials, and decision-making involved instead of learning techniques only as abstract descriptions.
We also connect the pieces through an integrated example of the healing process: listening and assessment → choosing an appropriate method → preparation → healing work → aftercare and guidance.
This is still a foundations course—not an instant-healer certification. Deeper competence develops through continued study, supervised practice, experience, reflection, and mentorship.

Bro Eric Roxas
Traditional Healer · Educator · Founder of Siquijor Healers
From an early age, Bro Eric was drawn to spiritual life through mystical experiences that began around the age of seven. These experiences made him a seeker and led him to explore different spiritual traditions, practices, and ways of understanding healing. Over time, that search eventually brought him more deeply into Siquijor’s traditional healing culture and the path he continues to practice today.
Bro Eric spent 6½ years apprenticing in Siquijor traditional healing, learning through direct mentorship, observation, practice, and participation in traditional healing work.
His training was shaped by several healers and elders, including Lolo Badeh (Saturnino), Ate TC, Lola Olimpia, and Kuya Tonio, alongside continued personal practice and study.
Through Siquijor Healers School, he works to preserve, organize, practice, and responsibly pass on this knowledge to a new generation.

Ate TC’s spiritual journey also began in childhood. From around the age of six, she experienced profound spiritual encounters and developed a close relationship with what her tradition understands as unseen or spiritual forces. These early experiences became part of a lifelong connection to spirituality, healing, and the traditional practices passed down through her family.
Ate TC comes from a long family lineage of traditional healers in Siquijor. Her knowledge has been shaped by family tradition, direct experience, spiritual practice, and years within the healing culture of the island.
She has guided students in meditation and practices for developing awareness, pakiramdam, prayer, and connection with the spiritual traditions associated with Siquijor healing.
INTEGRATIVE APPROACH
Our Approach to Assessment
Students learn to consider the person’s story, medical checks and current care, lifestyle and environment, mental and emotional state, relationships, values, observation, pakiramdam, and traditional divination methods.
A normal or cleared medical evaluation does not automatically prove a spiritual cause. Persistent unexplained concerns may invite further spiritual assessment within the tradition while remaining open to other explanations and appropriate medical follow-up.

Do I need previous experience?
No. Foundations is designed as an introductory course.
What does “75% hands-on learning” mean?
Most of the day is devoted to demonstrations, guided exercises, observation, supervised foundational practice, discussion, and seeing how techniques fit into an actual healing process. Participation depends on the technique and what is appropriate for a foundations-level class.
Can I attend alone?
Yes. A class may proceed with an individual student and is capped at 10 participants.
Is this a certification to become a healer?
No. This is a foundations course. Becoming a competent healer requires much longer study, practice, experience, and personal development.
What is included?
Meals during the course and course materials are included in the fee.
Does this replace medical training or medical care?
No. The course teaches a traditional and holistic healing framework and encourages appropriate medical evaluation and referral when needed.
